Illustration Friday – Fearless (Riders On The Storm – #28)

Riders on the storm
Riders on the storm
Into this house we’re born
Into this world we’re thrown
Like a dog without a bone, an actor out on loan
Riders on the storm

There’s a killer on the road
His brain is squirmin’ like a toad
Take a long holiday
Let your children play
If you give this man a ride sweet family will die
Killer on the road, yeah

Girl, you gotta love your man
Girl, you gotta love your man
Take him by the hand
Make him understand
The world on you depends, our life will never end
Gotta love your man, yeah

Riders on the storm, riders on the storm
Into this house we’re born
Into this world we’re thrown
Like a dog without a bone, an actor out on loan
Riders on the storm

Riders on the storm
Riders on the storm
Riders on the storm
Riders on the storm
Riders on the storm

This week’s Illustration Friday theme is Fearless. I chose Riders On The Storm by The Doors to illustrate this. This song always reminds me of a storm in the desert for some reason. When I think of the song, I never actually think of riders on the storm – it’s always the “killer on the road” part. So I decided to take an angle on the lyrics that I normally wouldn’t have done.

Supposedly this song was the inspiration for the movie The Hitcher…I can see that. The song Riders On The Storm was inspired by the old song Ghost Riders In The Sky, which also inspired the comic Ghost Rider. See how everything’s connected? :)
