Little Wing (revisited)

Well, she’s walking through the clouds,
With a circus mind that’s running wild,
Butterflies and Zebras,
And Moonbeams and fairy tales.
That’s all she ever thinks about.
Riding with the wind.

When I’m sad, she comes to me,
With a thousand smiles she gives to me free.
It’s alright, she says it’s alright,
Take anything you want from me,
Fly on little wing.

This piece is a redo of an older piece I did WAY back in 2010…wow, literally almost eight years to the day.┬áTruth be told, I was never really happy how that older piece turned out. I thought it was a little muddy. This new version is closer to my original thought I had when I came up with the concept. Here’s the older one for comparison:

Why did I redo this eight years later? Well…I’ve got an art show coming up the month of February 2018 at the EagleMonk Pub and Brewery in Lansing, Michigan. I’ll be selling framed copies of my work. An artist reception is being held Sunday, Feb. 4th from 3 to 5 p.m. If you are in the area, feel free to stop by!
